Congratulations to DECA team members Tristin Lee, Maddie Thomas, and Chloee Anderson on their outstanding achievement in the Drs. David & Agnes Palmer Junior Achievement Titan Competition! Their hard work and dedication earned them a Top 3 finish in the scholarship round — an accomplishment that comes with a well-deserved college scholarship.

But the recognition doesn't stop there. As a Top 3 team, Tristin, Maddie, and Chloee have earned the opportunity to apply for JA Future Bound — the JA Titan National Competition hosted at Boston University in Boston, Massachusetts. This event will give them the chance to compete on a national stage, participate in hands-on experiences designed to prepare them for future career success, and connect with high-achieving students from across the country.

We are incredibly proud of these students and excited to see everything they will continue to accomplish.

The Community Fundraiser Competition united students and staff in support of The City Hope Foundation. Donation boxes were placed in classrooms, and iJAG students collected and counted items each week as classes competed to contribute the most. By the end of the drive, nearly 500 products had been donated. The winning class received donuts and juice, but the greatest success was the collective impact made in the community. The generosity shown throughout the event demonstrated a strong commitment to service and giving back.

West Burlington Schools is excited to celebrate National School Breakfast Week from March 2–6, 2026 with this year’s theme: “The Quest for School Breakfast.”

Busy mornings can make it hard to find time for a healthy start, but our schools offer nutritious breakfasts each day — complete with fruit and low-fat or fat-free milk — to help students power up for learning.

National School Breakfast Week, launched in 1989, highlights the importance of the School Breakfast Program and the positive impact it has on student success.

We look forward to celebrating and encouraging all students to join us for a healthy start to their day!
