West Burlington Independent School District

Students in our iJAG (Iowa Jobs for America’s Graduates) program recently visited the Burlington Fire Station to explore careers in emergency services. During the tour, firefighters shared what it truly takes to enter the field — including the importance of starting training and preparation early. Experiences like this help students move beyond “just an idea” of a future career and see firsthand what different paths require, potentially saving time and money as they plan for life after high school.

Due to a cold weather advisory, school on Monday, January 26th will start at 10:00 AM.

We are going to postpone the Central Lee at West Burlington HS basketball games for tomorrow (1/23) to January 29th and move the start times back the original start times:

Varsity Girls at 6:00 PM in HS Gym
JV Boys at 6:00 PM in JH Gym
Varsity Boys at 7:30 PM in HS Gym

We are moving all of the HS basketball games for tomorrow (1/23) up one hour with Central Lee at West Burlington:

Due to an Extreme Cold Weather Warning in effect until noon, West Burlington Schools are canceled Friday, 1/23 to ensure the safety of students and staff.
