Our Spelling consists of 15 words that come from phonics, high frequency, or story words.  It is important that your child does not learn the words just for that week's test.  As parents it is hard to know when to insist on the child spelling the word correctly instead of using "inventive"  spelling.  If it is a word you know they should know then point it out to them and have them respell the word correctly.  

 On Mondays our Spelling words will be sent home after they have been introduced at school.  Please have your child practice the words for Friday's spelling test by having them write the word as you say it or writing a sentence using that word.

Group 2 doesn’t have: stew, bruise, pursuit, recruit, juice
