There are two books in our second grade curriculum.  We complete one each semester.  There are leveled books to go with each of the stories plus "Little Books" that review vocabulary and spelling words.  These "Little Books" come home with the students.

We do AR (Accelerated Reading) school wide. Each quarter the students are given a point goal and average to meet by reading books at their own level from the library. The students take a STAR placement test three times a year to determine their level.  Rewards are given at the end of each quarter. Our theme this year is OUR FAVORITE AUTHORS.
