Junior High Band is designed to build on the knowledge and skills the student has learned in Elementary Band.  This goal is attained through large group rehearsals, individual lessons, concerts, and AT HOME PRACTICE! It is understood that the student enrolled in Junior High band will remain in the class for the entire year.

The Junior High Band will perform at 4 home concerts through out the year.

• Tuesday, October 24th at 7:00 PM
• Friday, December 14th at 7:00 PM
• Tuesday, March 18th at 7:00 PM
• Tuesday, May 6th at 7:00 PM

These concerts will take place in the West Burlington Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium.

The students will participate in Southeast Iowa Bandmasters Association (SEIBA) Solo and Small Ensemble Contest On Saturday, February 2, 2008.  This event will take place in the New London School District.

They will also participate in the SEIBA Large Group (or Concert Band) Contest on Saturday, March 8, 2008.  This contest will take place at Durant High School.

They will play host to the Super-Conference Junior High Massed Band Festival. This will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 2008.  It will combine the Junior High Band members of the Notre Dame, Holy Trinity, Central Lee, and West Burlington schools into one large performing ensemble.
