American LiteratureResearch Essay  You are to research any topic related to our course timeline, gather information into an annotated bibliography, synthesize that information and compose a 1000-word expository essay. Your essay must be documented using impeccable MLA citations and format.  Remember that you must have a thesis—a main idea that you are arguing that goes beyond mere regurgitation of facts. A good research paper will demonstrate not only a thorough understanding and presentation of facts, but also substantive reflection and insight about your topic.
