What is America? Who is American? What is the American Dream? 

American Literature is a survey class that examines major movements of American art and writing. We will study literature and history that includes the Native American Oral tradition, Puritan literature and beliefs, Revolutionary documents, American Romanticism and Modernism and some contemporary American authors.
